about
Eventhough the world still is on fire and I want to continue keeping the focus on the fight against discrimination and hate, I also want to do what I can best: Music.
Where do you stand came to life from the intro ambient guitar and quickly evolved into what it is now. Going through a lot of difficult personal stuff (death, break ups, therapy ending) I had a lot of anger inside of me that I wouldn't know how to let out. Reflecting on the last relationship, I realized how important proper communication is and how it can ruin relationships if one side or both can't step out of their comfort zones and work on their way of talking.
However with the whole BLM happening, i realized how much more important it is to take a stand and to position yourself politically. I used to be one of the "it does not happen in my bubble so it's none of my business" guys. The recent events reached me on another level and something changed within me. It made me rethink my ethics and what I stand for I no longer want to be quiet, especially since I know that white guys need to learn about their priviliges eventhough it might be uncomfortable.
So take this song as a motivation to ask yourself: Where do I stand? Politically? Culturally? Take a stand. Raise your voice. ❣️
